The future of the Lindbergtech Blog

The future of the Lindbergtech Blog

The problem

Ever since I launched my Youtube Channel I've only published a few posts on my blog. Why?

Youtube takes an extreme amount of time to produce a video that is of the standard that I feel is good enough to publish. I have had the same standard for blogposts before starting the channel. And since time is a limited resource the end result has been that there is not enough of it to make "good enough blogposts".

The solution: A new direction

An idea I have is that since I learn new things everyday and sometimes that can be something small that does not really warrant its own video on Youtube. An example can be How to adjust a datadog log monitor query and deploy it using Terraform to receive alerts from Azure. What if I took these tidbits of knowledge/insights, whatever you want to call them - and published them as short posts on the blog? Think almost like 1 idea:1 blog post'ish. The thinking behind that is that if I lower the bar a bit for the blog, these tidbits of information can be published and perhaps one or two people can gain something from it.

The drawback is of course that the scope of people who will find the post useful or interesting may be more narrow than before. However, you never know what the next post might be about it and it could possible be super useful, who knows!?

Question for you, the reader

Would that be interesting? Is it a good idea or am I better off focusing more on Youtube? You can let me know by reaching out on LinkedIn or by email! Hope to hear from you :)
